Who Knows?

This month the blog and the surrounding projects have continued to pass my wildest dreams…

I was sponsored for a trip out of state again to work on the recent contract I signed (More Info Coming Soon)!

My resort bath

I am grateful to be working with some talented individuals!

Meal fixed at resort

They have given me added courage to do something I could have never imagined.

My resort kitchen

From working on the project to staying at a resort, to attending local events (getting free tickets) and meeting some great people, it was an amazing trip!

Another meal fixed in the resort kitchen, tuna

The free tickets were to attend Dolly’s Stampede. It was great experiencing the meal and event.

Water competition (on far right)

I was even asked to compete in the water running competition. If you have never attended this (I get nothing for saying this), I would also highly recommend it.

I have been contacted by companies about products especially to wear things as a sponsor on my blog. Although none of these have been a perfect fit, I am truly honored for each person who has reached out to me and their consideration.

If you have a collaboration or sponsorship opportunity you think might be a good fit please feel free to reach out on the contact me page.

Thank you all for your continued support of my blog. I enjoy hearing about your personal dreams/goals and steps you are taking to reach them. That means the world. I am so grateful for everyone that continues to track what I write and mention how it helps you.

When I was little, I used to look at pictures and read the story of Esther in a kid’s book. That was probably where I started to get a dream of wearing big earrings like her 🙂.

Recently, while out of state, I was also able to attend the Sight & Sounds Production (a dream for some time) of Esther (a childhood storybook hero of mine).

It was a lot of fun. The props all around the stage were state of the art and made you feel like you were actually there. I also enjoyed the horses…

Sight & Sound Exterior

I love the story because of her courage to speak in a time when women having a voice was frowned upon.

I also loved that she won a beauty contest to be the queen.

Finally, I was impressed with what it cost her to try to stop evil from touching others in spite of not being in the best situation herself.

A great story to read if you have never read it!

While taking other’s pictures next to the poster at Sight & Sounds of Esther (eventually took mine – see top pic), I overheard everyone around saying you could have been Esther, you look perfect for that part.

Lake I ran around at the resort

I was blown away…

It’s a lot from where I came from being extremely overweight.

Being so self conscious about my body for years that I was anorexic.

I am so thankful today that in spite of two wrecks as well, I have completely recovered health wise. That I have been able to use these experiences to get better not only physically but mentally (and embrace my body through the changes as I continue to get better).

I also realized today, an important lesson, that we are more than just our body.

Like Esther, it’s not just about how we look, it’s about the things we do, the choices we make, the things we say and the things we stand up for (I still need courage in that area)…

And who knows in your life (and mine), when you focus on the things outside just your body, maybe… just maybe you are called in your own kingdom…

your own unique place in life,

your unique town,

your unique heritage (mine includes Native American),

to make “your world”

a better place.
