Unwrapped Dreams

*****Major Trigger Warning (May Need Kleenexes)

You hear the noise. Distinctly, sound after sound. The title of the film is “Sainsbury’s, ‘Christmas 1914’ 2014.” To bring it up to date it would now be 2024…

A letter unfolds, a gift is unwrapped. It holds a secret, something special and sacred. A hope, a dream, something to live for and if necessary… Now there’s a recognizable song. One word stands out…. “P….”

It’s at this point that the unexpected happens. For a moment it is easy to forget that this short video is an ad. It’s life-like because it’s based on life – an actual day in history. For a moment it can be easy to see yourself in the short video. Which character would you be? The neighbor? A friend?…

It shows the message that around the world many want the same thing. One of the comments on the YouTube video based on a song on the event from history read, “at the end of….. We are all the same!”

The final word sticks out at the close of the ad, Christmas is for s………..!

This Christmas I hope you each take a moment to remember what is the most important when all is said and done…

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad or just a great month depending on where you are from this December… I hope it is filled with the word at the end of the first song shown on this ad and that the coming year is filled with dreams come true!

Disclaimer: this is not an affiliate link. It’s an ad I found that was exceptionally well done!

Wow! If the people involved in the ad can take timeout to be kind, ask an enemy their name and play a friendly game of soccer, then what is our excuse? This was very challenging and moving. Thank you for sharing this Grace.
