Update On Blog

It’s hard to believe it has been a month… Here are the latest updates! Thank you for encouraging/watching me build this in real time…

Views Via Tracking Tools

Two weeks ago, last I checked, we had 908 blog views. That is around half of my social media friends. Thank you all so much for the shares, comments and letting me know how much this has impacted you. I try to spend an hour each week responding to the private/public messages on social media/blog.

Questions On Blog Comments

On the blog, for those asking, it’s not necessary to use a website to enter a comment below the post. You can leave that field open. They only ask for an email (I do not currently collect these), to make sure the comment is from a legit person. You can also opt to only use your first name. I then have to approve these comments. This has already helped to stop a scam message.

Guest Blog Request

I was asked by a website to be a guest on a blog with 100,000 people on their email list. I just found out about their company. This post is scheduled for December. It’s a perfect fit and I am really excited about this opportunity!

“About Me” Page

The “about me” page is up. This goes over the goals of the site, ways you can get the most out of the blog, roughly the types of blog posts to expect on the different weeks of each month (some months due to holidays etc. it may mix up a little). It also goes over my bio.

Make sure to check out the horse picture. They say taking family pictures is hard. Well this horse wanted to eat my hair and he wouldn’t look directly at the camera. He only looked out of the corner of his eye. When you only have time for one take, you get what you get and don’t throw a fit. 🙂

“Contact Me” Page

The “contact me” page is up as well! In the future for blog related questions that go beyond comments, this will be the best place to reach out. It will also be the place to contact me to collaborate and to see if a project is a good fit.

    Website Updates

I changed the wordpress theme on the blog to Hueman. One of many reasons I like this theme is because of the name. 🙂 It also has a search bar that enables you to put in a topic/keywords and get search results for related posts. Finally, I especially like this theme’s layout on a desk/laptop computer.

Facebook Restriction

Finally, I had my first 24 hour restriction ever on facebook. Ironically, the post trending at that time “Painful Pieces In A Parking Lot” has also had the most feedback especially privately about its impact. Whether the restriction was a temporary mistake, while they were figuring out who I was or something else, I never heard. I am grateful, however, it was lifted after 24 hours with no message.

Response To Restriction

I have decided to continue posting on social media, as well as start an email list. The email list for this blog is for those who want to get special exclusive content and immediate links to blog posts before everyone else. This will be coming soon!

I am also using wordpress on my blog because it allows full freedom over contents as well as full copyright protection. At the bottom of the “about me” page see the no liability statement on my content as well for legal protection purposes.

Thank You

Thank you all again for your support in this endeavor! Grateful for each one of you and hope this blog continues to give you the courage to go after your dreams too especially those outside “your comfort zone!”
